Junior Training Camp with Cognos Global Partners

How will AI cahnge M&A advisory?

That question was at the centre of this year’s Junior Training Session in Cognos Global Partners, which we at Flair Capital had the pleasure of hosting in Aarhus on 11 to 12 June at Hotel Marselis. Over two days, we brought together colleagues from the UK, the Netherlands, France and Germany to work with AI and its application in M&A.

The programme had a practical focus and was led by Elias Bayat from Grasp, who made a complex topic both tangible and relevant. Elias gave us a realistic view of what AI can do, where its limitations are, and why data quality, structure and working methods are essential for strong results. Using Grasp as a starting point, we worked on concrete cases and explored how such tools can strengthen investor identification and provide insights into previous transactions.

Beyond the professional programme, it was valuable to spend time together across our international network. It strengthened relationships, created opportunities to share experiences and gave us better insight into each other’s markets.

After two great days, it is even clearer to us that AI can accelerate and strengthen several parts of the M&A process. However, the ability to critically assess results, understand the commercial context and turn analyses into reliable recommendations remains important.

A big thank you to the participants for the engagement and the time in Aarhus. We look forward to the continued collaboration in Cognos Global Partners.
